The IPG Inclusion awards, established in 2009, are a recognition and celebration of agencies and individuals who make a real difference in the company’s goal to be one of the world's most diverse and inclusive companies.
The awards were held yesterday in New York and kicked off with remarks from Michael Roth, Chairman and CEO. Next, the awards featured a fireside chat between Heide Gardner, SVP & Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, and Kamau Bell, an American standup comedian and Host of CNN’s “United Shades of America”. Finally, the program included remarks from Khetsiwe Dlamini, Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Partnership Division UN Women who commented on the perils of stereotypes becoming norms, followed by the introduction of the short film “The problem is not seeing the problem’.
